Nicholas Stevens is the protagonist of Among the Dead.
Story[]
Issue 1[]
He was working at the convenience store when a man came in to use the bathroom. The man had the virus, and eventually reanimated into a biter. Nicholas went to check out the strange noises in the bathroom but got attacked by the zombified man. The man then killed another customer, so Nicholas bashed his head in with a soda dispenser. Fearing he would go to prison for murder, he went to his friend Barry for help. Barry almost hit Nicholas with a baseball bat, thinking he was a biter.
Issue 2[]
Nicholas talks to Barry about the incident at the store. Eventually they talk about their plans on what to do now, Nicholas proposes to go out and look for people. Barry says they should stay close, in case of some kind of rescue team coming. Nicholas then asks what they should do if rescue never comes, Barry then replies with "Then we're fucked."
